SCHOLARSHIPS FOR POSTGRADUATE/POSTDOCTORAL STUDIES IN GREECE
OFFERED TO NATIONALS OF THE BALKANS, CENTRAL - EASTERN EUROPE
(NON MEMBERS OF E.U.), ASIA, AFRICA AND LATIN AMERICA
(Programme 2008-2009)
The State Scholarships Foundation announces that it will offer
up to forty (40) scholarships to nationals (foreigners or
of Greek origin) of the European Union Member States, Iceland,
Norway, Switzerland, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, New Zealand
and Japan for studies in Greece beginning in the academic
year 2008-2009.
In particular, the scholarships will be offered for:
a) Postgraduate studies for:
i) Doctorate (Ph.D.) for one (1) year up to four (4) years.
ii) Second Master for one (1) year up to three (3) years.
b) Postdoctoral research studies for six ( 6 ) months up to
one ( 1 ) year.
c) Further education in the Greek Language, Literature, Philosophy,
History and Art for professors of
Greek in foreign Universities, for six ( 6 ) months up to
one ( 1 ) year.
d) Attendance of seminars for specialization in the Fine Arts,
for one ( 1 ) year up to two ( 2 ) years.
e) Collection of research data for applicants who are conducting
Ph.D. studies in their country, for one (1) year.
Scholarships for categories b), c), d) and e) lead to non
degree programmes.
Fields of study must be one of those available at Greek Universities.
Applicants are allowed to apply for only one category of scholarship.
The submission deadline to
the General Consulates of Greece in Sofia and Plovdiv is March
31, 2008.

a) Три (3) нови
стипендии за пълен курс университетско обучение - бакалаварска
степен.
b) Пет (5) стипендии за десет (10) месечен период за следдипломно
обучение или научна работа.
c) Шест (6) стипендии за посещение на летен семинар по гръцки
език, история и цивилизация.

Degree in SEE Studies-University of Athens, Department of

The call for applicants
for the Master’s Degree in Southeast European Studies is open
from 21 January to 15 May 2008.
The Master’s Degree in Southeast
European Studies was originally founded in 1999 as part of
a broader project (“U/SEE Project”) bringing together several
universities of Southeastern Europe, which share some common
goals: to raise public awareness, to stimulate discussion
and to facilitate cross-border academic and scientific cooperation,
to promote common understanding, good neighbourly relations,
respect for human rights, economic and social development
and sustainable peace in Southeastern Europe (SEE). The U/SEE
Project was established under the auspices of the European
Union’s Royaumont Process and during its first few years,
was supported by the Stability Pact for SEE.
The postgraduate programme
has been organized and run since 1999 by the Faculty of Political
Science and Public Administration of the University of Athens.
Among its strong assets is its multinational and interdisciplinary
character.
